Potting

You should bring a large container so that your container can accommodate growth of your plants. You should keep in mind the drainage system of container. Ensure that the container have ample drainage holes. To collect extra drained water buy a tray and placed it underneath your container.

  • Choose your favorite herb and ensure you high quality potting soil which is suited for your chosen herb.
  • Pot should be filled with potting soil about three quarters of the way up
  • You must not wet the soil but moisten the soil slightly
  • Soil at the root base must be loosening time to time for ensure the proper growth of your plants.
  • Fill the root base of your plats with enough soil for better results.

Light

Do you know what the most important element for indoor planting is? Its light. Light is the key fact for successful planting. You should find a spot from where your plants get enough light for 6 to 8 hours per day. If your plants not get the enough light it will growing long but it will have few leaves.

Water

Based on your chosen herb you must water them regularly. But keep in mind that, overwatering is not good for herbs. So check dryness of soil before watering the herbs.

You must ensure proper drainage system. Proper drainage is also important for herbs. If you noticed that your herbs leaves turning into water then your herbs are overwatered. Good drainage system provides better service to stop logging the roots.

Tip 1:

Mints are usually growing so fast. So it can cover your other herbs. So, plants Mint in a separate place.

Tip 2:

Change your pot position according to the direction of sun. Ensure every side of your herb get equal and proper lighting.

Tip 3:

Do not apply same watering schedule for all your herbs. Watering them based on their need. Such as Rosemary needs watering only when its soil getting dry but Basil needs frequent watering.

Tip 4:

For ensure further growth clipping your herbs. Clipping helps your plants to rapid growth. But only cut less than one third.
